Uganda President commission the 51-kilometer Kampala- Entebbe Expressway

Uganda President, Yoweri Museveni commissioned the 51-kilometer Kampala- Entebbe Expressway, the country’s first that  will act as a bypass for through-traffic that wishes to avoid the current Kampala–Entebbe road.

It will also serve as a distributor of traffic to/from the Kampala CBD, Entebbe International Airport and Entebbe Town.

The four lane carriage express highway will also link with the proposed Kampala Southern bypass project which will contribute to dispersion of traffic to the areas south of the Kampala Central Business District.

The highway consists of a 1.5km Nambigirwa bridge which is the longest in bridge in East Africa.
